I usually watch the movie first, but I was convinced otherwise in this specific situation, I will never listen to those traitor types again! It can be a hard call! The book is invariably better, so, if you don't see the movie first, it can be hard to see the movie's charms and fall in love with it. However, often they are rushed for time in a movie so they have to leave things out, which means if you've read the book you can fill in the gaps and it makes the movie much better. You never know until it's too late.

I usually find if I read the book first I don't feel the movie ever captures what I envisioned in the book. If I watch the movie first, I can enjoy it, even love it, and when I read the book I get even more details and a little bit of visual help from the movie. I finish the book faster because I am so excited to see how the book will end in relation to the movie. I dunno, I like doing it that way.
It really is a tough call.

Why? I hope you screamed "HE HAS FUCKING BRAIN CANCER AND THEY'RE SAYING HE'S SEEING THINGS!!! NO FUCKING SHIT!!" Other than that, I would have totally pounded Virginia Madsen in 1985 if I had pubes.

Pet Semetary scared me more than any other horror movie. Something about the character Zelda, who is a bed ridden girl dying form spinal meningitis, just creeps the shit out of me. I saw the movie when i was 10, and to this day if it's on TV I'll change the channel before Zelda appears. The scenes with Zelda were brutal. They're still beyond creepy. Off the top of my head, Alien is probably the scariest movie I've ever seen.
